A porcelain veneer is used to change the appearance of teeth and smiles. This treatment type can correct gaps between teeth, discoloured teeth, crooked teeth, fractured teeth and teeth with decay or existing fillings.
Porcelain Veneers can be fabricated with the latest technology to be extreme thin (0.3mm), hard, durable and aesthetic.
We can now create veneers often with no or minimal drilling. For this reason this treatment on many occasions is suitable for nervous patients.
Alternative techniques include a variety of options that can still create your Perfect Smile.
Teeth whitening has little or no discomfort except for on very few occasions, where there may be transient sensitivity which last for a few days only. Teeth whitening does not cause irreversible damage to the teeth.
Cosmetic braces often involves using tooth coloured wires or clear aligners to move the teeth. There may be sometimes initial discomfort only for at the start of the treatment, as the teeth prepare to move.
Porcelain Veneer treatment can often be carried out with no or minimal preparation veneers. This means that no drilling and no injection is required and thus the treatment is pain-free.
On some occasions, we need to do some minimal preparation on teeth. On these occasions, we can do this by making sure that the area of treatment is made totally numb with pain free injections. The entire treatment can take a minimum of 3 appointments. Although the treatment uses the Ultrathin Veneer techniques, it still follows the same Perfect Smile Studios signature protocols as designing any new smile. This means that you will be fitted with a Trial Smile that Dr. Doshi will create for you allowing you greater control of your end result.
The Trial Smile is a temporary smile fitted over your teeth for a few days. It gives you the opportunity to literally “try-out” your new smile before you have the final porcelain veneers fitted. Dr. Doshi will then be able to make any necessary adjustments before the final veneers are fitted.
The treatment fee for veneers depends on the following:

When extensive tooth reduction is chosen rather than moving teeth with cosmetic braces then sensitivity may arise. This may last for was few days. If the tooth reduction is severe then there may be a risk to the tooth requiring a root filing.
Teeth that have had extensive treatment previously may be weak at the outset, in this scenario the option will be given whether to avoid porcelain veneer. A complete assessment will detriment this.
