At The Perfect Smile, we understand that patients may be naturally nervous when thinking of undergoing dental implant surgery.
We would like to reassure you that the dental implant treatment is not painful at all due to proper use of local anaesthetics to deeply numb the bone and gum.
We can also use sedation techniques that also contribute to no pain or discomfort.
“Our practice has over 25 years of experience in dealing with patients. We’ll ensure you’re in good care. “ Dr Rahul Doshi
Pain free Dental Implants
It is important to note that all our procedures can be carried out with gentle local anaesthetic and/or sedation, with minimal or no discomfort during dental implant surgery.
Find out why implants are worth it: This means that the area of treatment in your mouth will be numb and you will not feel anything.
We can reassure you that no clinician will do anything until you are properly and deeply numb and do not feel anything.
We will test this before any treatment is started
We will also make sure that you are adequately anaesthetised during the treatment so that the entire procedure is carried out in the most safest and pain-free way as possible.
It is important to note that you may experience some swelling or discomfort after the treatment. This is because it is an invasive treatment and like most surgeries can take a few days to heal.
We can help you with anti-inflammatory painkillers. Having said this, when we check on our patients the next day, the majority of our patients are absolutely fine and do not suffer these symptoms.
You will have our contact numbers in case you need to speak to the implant dentist at any time. You can be reassured that you will be taken care of at all times. Click here to see why you need dental implants.
Dental Anxiety and Implants
Our care team are extremely experienced and understanding in this area.
- They know how the thought of having pain may stimulate anxiety and so they take very careful measures with every person to ensure that you are properly looked after with no discomfort.
- We are very experienced in dental phobia and helping to alleviate anxiety towards dental treatment.
- In order to alleviate anxieties, we provide our patients with total control. We take the time to explain in detail the entire procedure. Our patients have found this approach to be very useful and have helped them to cope with the “idea” of pain.
We also plan and design your treatment based solely on you.
Depending on your requirements, our assessment will evaluate if there is a sufficient amount of bone density in your jaw, and then we can help you get your perfect smile. If not, additional procedures will be offered to you.
Having said that, there are now innovative implant designs available that have opened up the door to implant treatment even when there is not enough bone. Your examination will highlight this and our highly experienced and advanced qualified implant dentists will discuss your choices with you.
Free consultations: we offer free consultations which you can book online, so we can assess various options in providing you with the right treatment to reduce any discomfort you may experience.

My dental plan included quite intrusive treatment, all of which was carried out with concern for my comfort. Time was taken to insure that I was included in every decision to be made.
Everyone was very friendly and made me feel 'at home'. Thanks to the dentists at this amazing practice!!
