A dental implant is not like a filling or a simple tooth extraction. It is categorised as surgery and costs more than most general dental treatments.

A dental implant costs £2,450

Affordable dental implants

Our implant dentists have broken down below the cost of each implant type and system and what you can expect to pay.

However, these prices are guidelines; the exact quote for treatment can only be provided after examining and assessing your oral condition, as you might require pre-prosthetic procedures like bone grafts to ensure you’re a suitable candidate for treatment.

  1. Save on average London prices.
  2. Free consultation.
  3. Flexible 0% dental finance.
  4. Same-day teeth are available.
  5. Competitive prices.

Single Implant Prices

Our inclusive single dental implant treatment costs £2,450, including abutment and crown.

The only additional fee to pay here is your consultation with the implant dentist, who can take then necessary scans to get you started on your journey. This appointment is mandatory.

Multiple Missing Teeth Cost

It is also important to note that the “cost per tooth” is reduced in the case of multiple implants since you will not necessarily have an implant for each missing tooth.

Our dentists use two implants to support several teeth (implant-supported bridges). For example, two implants can keep 3 or 4 missing teeth. Costs from £3,000.

Full arch costs (full mouth)

All-on-Four costs between £10,000 per jaw. The revolutionary system uses only four dental implants to secure a hybrid denture that’s fixed and non-removable, offering the least degree of movement and restoring taste sensations.

Guide to dental implant costs

Average UK Cost

The price of dental implants can vary depending on where you are in the UK and your chosen practice. Typically prices range from £1,900 to £3,000.

Another critical point is that it’s difficult to price one final cost as every patient is different and has different requirements. For example, final fees might include additional treatments like bone regeneration or sinus lifts, this will be an extra cost to the final bill of your reconstruction.

You will need to consult a dentist to create an individual treatment plan for specific costs.

What's included in the cost?
  • Consultation with a treatment coordinator (if you are serious about the treatment, you can book a redeemable, paid-for consultation with the specialist dentist)
  • Aftercare and follow-up appointments
  • X-rays and impressions
Cost compared to dentures

Cosmetic dentures cost £750 – considering they will need to be replaced every five years, over a lifetime, cosmetic dentures can cost you over £5,000.

Potential additional costs

Implants at first may appear expensive because denture wearers are known to have very little jawbone or poor gum health, two severe conditions that will need correcting before your implant procedure.

Without sufficient jawbone or good gum health, your implant might fail, so for your tooth replacement method to be successful, we might need to carry out treatments like:

  • Bone grafts/regeneration
  • Sinus lifts to make room for new bone
  • Laser gum surgery (from £550)
Are they free on the NHS?

Because implants are considered cosmetic, they are rarely redeemable via the NHS.

The NHS will only pay for treatment if there is an immediate clinical need for the procedure. Because implants enhance a patient’s aesthetics, they do not easily fall under this category.

Patients can get dental implants for free, through insurance (check with your provider), and through grants (which will pay a portion of the cost).

What affects the price?
  • Number of implants required
  • Type of system and brand selected for the treatment. Premium brand implants tend to be more expensive.
  • Experience of the clinician carrying out the surgery. A more qualified dentist, who works on complex cases might be slightly more expensive.
  • Pre-implant procedures: In occasional cases, other surgical procedures are required to form the correct foundation for the tooth implant.
  • Implants use much more advanced technology and require meticulous care, experience and attention – this is why the work involved can cost more than other restorative solutions.
  • The crown that attaches to the dental implant is custom-made and, in most cases, handcrafted by the dentist.
Being cautious of cheap implants

Be careful – any dentist can claim they are a cosmetic dentist, so you have to shop around before choosing the right cosmetic dentist. Make sure they’re BACD regulated.

Dental practices abroad offer low-cost tooth replacement options, encouraging many patients to go overseas to seek treatment.

We cannot tell you the number of times we have had to reverse the implant work of dentists abroad, who use different techniques, and implant systems and leave patients in the most shocking of states.

In cases like this, it is hazardous for another dentist to correct the work, and many dentists avoid these cases from the get-go.

Prevent this by going to a local dentist you trust, who can prove their results through reviews and before and after images on Instagram.

Spread the cost: Interest-free finance.

Pay Monthly With 0%

Pay monthly with 0% interest over 24 months, instead of 12 months like every other dental practice in the area. Patients can even extend their finance options up to 60 months with 14.9% interest charged to reduce their monthly costs further.

“Let’s face it, no one likes going to the dentist so it seems a little over the top to say “I loved” my recent dental appointments at The Perfect Smile Studios but I can’t give the professionalism and politeness of the staff any higher accreditation.”
