Implant Treatment is Suitable for Most Patients Who:
- Are medically healthy with no issues that may affect healing in general and thus implant healing.
- The patient does not smoke or will stop smoking three months before implant placement.
- The mouth is healthy with no gum disease.
- There is adequate bone height available to place implants, or if height is deficient, then bone grafting is possible for that specific mouth region.
- There is adequate bone width available to place implants, or if the width is deficient, then bone grafting is possible for that specific mouth region.
- The post and crown height is less than the height of the implant.
- There are no anatomical structures seen on a CBCT that may affect the placement of the implant in the correct position.
- There is at least 7mm space in the gap being considered for the implant placement.
- There is adequate room for the crown and no contradicting bite issues.
- There are adequate keratinised gingivae, and the aesthetics of the simulated final result are acceptable to the patient.
