At the Perfect Smile Studios, we use a bespoke approach for brace treatment.
This means that you will have a bespoke plan of action, especially for you based upon your specific need and requirements.
You will have a consultation initially where we will discuss what types of brace choices best suit your requirements.

Defining the length of time required
The length of time your braces need to stay on varies from person to person and is dependent on the following:
The complexity of your treatment plan.
This depends upon the foundation of your teeth. During your clinical examination, we look to see how bad your teeth are to begin with and what condition the teeth are in. We also look to see what position your teeth are currently in.
Everybody varies as to the amount of work involved. If your case is more complicated then your braces may remain on for longer than others that were having similar brace treatment.
For this reason, we always give a range of time as to how long the treatment would last. Straighten your teeth today.
Your specific aesthetic requirements.
We will first establish your aesthetic goals. This allows us to understand which treatment would best fit your requirements and lifestyle needs.
If you require a “perfect Smile” then it may involve more work. This is because we are not only perfectly re-aligning the teeth but we are also introducing further subtle corrections which may take longer to produce.
If further cosmetic dentistry is required, the overall length of your treatment can also be longer.
your choice of the treatment.
Some of you may prefer a particular choice of treatment to another since you may have certain wants from that treatment.
For example, you may want the treatment to be completely unnoticeable. So your preference of treatment also plays a role in how long your particular treatment will last.
The average treatment time is approximately 15 months. However, you may be willing to wear the aligners for a longer length of time because they are the most invisible of all orthodontic treatments for adults.
For example if you prefer Clear Aligners (as oppose to bracket and wire systems) then your treatment can last anything from 3 to 24 months.

Certain treatments like braces require regular visits to the dentists to make the necessary adjustments and tighten the braces. You may have limited time in your schedule for such regular visits. The dentist can then help to choose teeth straightening systems that do not require as many appointments.
Also you may be a type of person that does not like to follow home instructions such as regularly changing your aligners. In this case a bracket and wire brace system may be more appropriate for you.
Treatments are chosen depending upon your lifestyle requirements and this may alter the length of time you will need to wear the brace or teeth straightening treatment.
orthodontic system correct for you.
The length of the treatment is dependent upon which teeth straightening system you choose.
For example, clear aligner treatment lasts from 3 to 24 months; however, most bracket and wire systems vary from 3 to 9 months.
The CFast brace system works faster than the six-month smile brace system since it focuses primarily on the movement of the front six teeth only. This makes treatment faster as there are limited bone changes involved and it deals with fewer teeth.
personal variations
In some people it just takes longer to move the teeth. This may be due to differences in bone quality and your susceptibility to changes.
Hence, you may be wearing the braces for a shorter or longer time period than initially expected for no other reason than your own body’s response to the treatment.
