No Prep Veneers

We offer 3 types of no-prep veneers for £900 per tooth.

Veneers without teeth shaving

Achieve the smile of your dreams without having to damage or change your underlying teeth. Our no-prep veneer options are reversible and keep your existing teeth shape intact, unlike using dental crowns or traditional veneers for your smile makeover.

Our veneers are thinner - that’s why they require no preparation

Patients in Hertford will be pleased to know that our clinic only offers no-prep and minimally invasive veneers, which means no drilling, etching, and unnecessary tooth removal.

This is because our cosmetic dentists only opt to use premium brands of porcelain veneers, which are thinner than traditional prosthetics. As a result, they require no tooth etching or shaving. Patients can also benefit from a more natural-looking smile that’s not thick or bulky-looking.

We also offer a cheaper composite alternative, no-prep, as they are directly sculpted on top of your natural teeth to achieve a new size or shape, creating a more even smile.

How do no-prep veneers work?

Just like regular veneers, no-prep veneers are recommended for patients wishing to disguise chipped, broken, stained, discoloured, cracked, crooked or generally “bad” teeth.

Usually, dental veneers are considered a permanent option as the dentist has to prepare the tooth significantly for a veneer, which can involve grinding the tooth root or removing part of the enamel to ensure it can hold the veneer.

But no-prep veneers avoid this process and are considered an immediate, quick way to improve your smile and make teeth appear more even. This is because no-prep veneers are thinner, which means our dentists won’t have to make room to place them.

Benefits of no-prep veneers
  • Improve the appearance of many smile problems
  • Involves less prep work
  • Installed the same day
  • Easy procedure with no anaesthetic
  • No drilling and no needles
  • Long-lasting with some brands promising 15 years of wear
  • Thinner and more natural-looking
Are they reversible?

Traditional veneer and dental crown procedures are not reversible, this is because the dentist typically has to file down and remove part of the outer layer of the tooth, which means without your prosthetic or restoration, your teeth would not be suitable for everyday use. That means your tooth has been permanently altered and is irreversible.

In comparison, no-prep veneers do not require the same kind of alterations to your tooth’s structure, which means the underlying tooth structure remains intact, so you can remove them should you wish to. However, as they are applied to the enamel of your teeth, they can cause some damage to the surface area, so it does not mean that the teeth will not be affected in some way during the installation procedure.
